A lesson in architecture.
Add marshmallows, toothpicks, and a couple 3 year olds.
Kate created an airplane. Awesome.
Adding some finishing decorative touches.

64-72/365
Clearly I have gotten lazy and have a bit of catching up to do so....here we go....
64/365
It's blurry but someone little fingers altered our calendar and decided we are "Going on Vacation" on Aug 31st. I wonder where we will go.
65/365
Concentrating on Cariboo.
66/365
There's nothing like pink twirling tutus in the morning.
67/365
Mastering a sandy balance beam at the park. Gymnastics class can't start soon enough.
68/365
Reliving her glory days when she fit in an exersaucer. I was reliving the days when I could contain her.
69/365
Reenacting Titanic at the Children's Museum.
70/365
She figured out how to make the frog squirt on purpose. It was a big hit.
71/365
A little cotton candy refueling during intermission at the Circus.
72/365
This slide was super fast, even my stomach dropped going down. Kate did it over, and over, and over..

My Sangria helper.
After working on her mixology certification it was off to Oma and Opa's for a sleepover.

Wow, 3 months later and I'm still at it with this! Only 9 more months to go, =).
Well, the itty bitty is..... still itty bitty. At her 18month check up she weighed 19 lb 1 oz (3rd %tile) and was 30 7/8 inches (25th %tile). She is solidly in 12 month clothing so at least her pants won't drag in the rain this fall. She still only has 4 teeth but I think there are more trying to break through.
To compare: Kate at 18months was 14 lb 4 oz (10th %tile) and 30 1/4 inches (45th %tile). Clearly the charts have changed in the last 2 years since Kate was shorter but in a much higher %tile. Also Kate had at least 6 teeth by this age.
I love my tiny girls.

Yes, I realize I posted 59 and 60 in the wrong order. I was living in the moment of today and pushed yesterday aside. Also I will note that I took no pictures yesterday so this photo is a stand in from two days ago.
Even though this pic isn't from the correct day I thought it was important to document the first time I buried my child up to her neck in sand. She requested it, Leia tried to help, Willow was baffled. I love Kate's willingness to grab silly opportunities and run with them.

18 Month Comparison
These two are finally starting to look like individuals. At least in pictures. We still hear on a daily basis friends and strangers saying they look like twins.

The goods after a morning in the blueberry field. I'm not an quick picker but we have our fill for a while.
55/365
One last taste of goodness at the end of a full day at a friend's lake house. These kids played hard in the sand and water from 10am-5pm. A fabulous day all around.
54/365
The new buddies have arrived and Kate is smitten with hers. Leia has not been introduced to hers yet but will probably meet it soon (her current buddy has a whole that is slowly growing and will be its demise).
53/365
From her perch on my back she had her pick of the blueberries. Serioulsy. This kid ought to look like a smurf with how many she ate.

"Plop, plop" she frantically says as we walk past the table at Oma's house. I look around in confusion. In an attempt to distract I put her in her chair for snack. No good, the tears start. Off we go in search of whatever "plop, plop" is. I quickly discover she eagle eyed a lollipop and will not be deterred. Back to the chair once more, this time "plop, plop" in hand. Now she's one happy kid.

When the big kid is away....mommy and itty bitty will snuggle in her bed. Kate has the best bed in the house and since she is off camping with the auntie and cousin Leia and I took over. It was great to have a "just Leia" day and know that I get another one tomorrow (with a brief Scrivner invasion as an added bonus).

It was a busy day at Jetty Island in Everett. The kids were patient waiting for our turn on the ferry and enjoyed each others company while on the island. It finally felt like we spent a lazy summer day at the beach.
45/365
No matter how many times we go to the mall climbing space Kate always manages to find a way to take it to new heights. The most recent excursion included climbing up a slide using no hands. The running head start was awesome to watch.
44/365
Exploring a tent at REI in preparation for her camping trip with Oma, Aunt Krisit, and Cousin Aidan this weekend.
